It depends.
Scion is a Toyota brand.
And Buick is a GM brand ^_^

True. That's why I really am not sure I'd bet my life on those numbers! And Buick is a GM brand ^_^

i thought jag was too, or is it ford? by the way, who owns gm now? the chinese?
Heh.
Here's the real story.
Obama likes unions. Obama likes Chicago-style, thug politics. Obama used your money (and mine) to buy Government Motors to rescue his UAW friends. Ford profits. GM doesn't. Who is ripe for a target? An American company like Ford? No! UAW owns them too. Which #1 company does NOT employ UAW members in its factories? How can Obama, the owner of GM and head of government use government to both of their advantages?
Now you're getting the real story here.
Of course, the state-run media will drink whatever Koolaid Obama provides.
End of story.
Toyota is still great. Experience tells me this. And kudos to Toyota for NOT using UAW workers.
Heh.

How do Hondas stack up in terms of ultimate longevity (miles and chronological age of the car)?
Heh.

Wait so Toyotas are made in the US? I always figured they were made in Japan. I know they are tested here in Canada (and probably other places too) though. There is a cold weather testing plant in my city, it's actually somewhat top secret and I know where it is since I had to go setup some meteorology equipment there.
i thought jag was too, or is it ford? actually ford looks pretty well represented in the good area. by the way, who owns gm now? the chinese?
The point is ... show me any other coalesced set of opinions.1.) The Consumer Reports surveys are pretty generic, ... and that's BS, it's been a running joke in the industry for some time now.

Those kind of surveys are self reinforcing. And the judgment of those surveyed is suspect imho. Do you really want a soccer mom to pick out your next car? I'd rather fucking die than own an Accord/Camry/Sienna/Odyssey/Corolla/Civic, they're goddamn appliances, not cars that I give a flying fuck about.
