The USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C on my case is broken. I guess it could be the motherboard, but I'm leaning towards the cable feeding the port. I guess contacting Fractal design is my next move.
How does it compare to lightning? Never used lightning(and I guess soon, no one else will either), but I thought it looked like a really good design. More robust than usb.
Seeing a lot of the same issues with USB-C that were experienced with micro-B. The weakest point is where the connector is soldered to the circuit board inside the device. Lots of Nintendo Switch systems have broken USB-C connectors.
I still have never seen an iDevice with a broken lightning connector.
