Well, homicidal mutant sex tentacles are hard to come by.

The percentage of people in Japan who are actually into "homicidal mutant sex tentacles" is a pretty small minority, and is in no way representative of the general public. But, the weirdest stuff also happens to be what gains the most traction and publicity over the internet, hence people's false impressions in the west. Most Japanese people are (shock) actually pretty normal. They also have the lowest crime rate out of any other industrialized nation.

Even worse when they suck you into the other ones body and assimilate you after you get raped by space spiders on top of tentacles and various other mutants also, but ya know I would have never watched anything like that.

Looks kind of like Hotline Miami, with better graphics. I doubt the gameplay is as fun, though.

I didn't even get past the first room in Hotline Miami. I play twitch games, I have fast reaction times, but that game just sucked balls.

You need to give it another chance. It's a really good game, after it "clicks" with you (which shouldn't take long for most people).

If you seriously can't get past the first level then your reaction times probably aren't really that fast.

is this even a real game? the trailer sounds overly dramatic with no real angst. sounds like satire.

The creators really are a bunch of neo-nazis. The lead designer recently commented on this accusation in an interview, essentially saying "just because I 'like' neo-nazi groups on Facebook to keep up with Eastern European news, doesn't mean I am one"

So yeah... Draw your own conclusion if you must.

Personally I'm against censorship, so I don't give a damn if Steam sells it or not. I certainly wouldn't care to play it though.

But I think we can all agree that at least it's better that these "artists" are channeling their insecurity and hatred into video game creation rather than into reality.

I hope it's a financial failure in any case.

I don't get the point of this game.

I liked the original Postal, it got boring fairly quickly, but it was straight forward kill everything. I know you can kill everything in GTA, but Postal was the 1st game I remember where killing everyone was the objective. Sequels were good with all the added dark humor. This could be a game I'd buy if it was priced right. Post 2 you could put a cat on a gun and use it as a silencer lol. I love cats but that always cracked me up.

Postal 2 was hilarious. Terrible as an actual game, but hilarious. Armed anti-violent videogames picketers, Branch Devidian-alikes, random gunfights in the street, and all you're trying to do is get through your day! The best part about the cat silencer is when you take it off the gun, the cat just walks away like nothing happened.

His reply seems rational. Is your hatred rational?

I don't see anyone's insecurity or hatred channeled into a video game. Did you draw this conclusion based on your own misguided assumptions about the developers?

If you ignore, disparage or boycott them based solely on their beliefs, doesn't that make you the real Nazi?

This game is going to cause the nanny state people to lose their minds. Sorry Australian bros, you won't be playing this one.

It was unique. Thousands of games have had us shooting at "bad" dudes. Simply replacing the 3D model and changing the AI creates a completely different, and very negative experience. I'm not sure who this game is for. I wouldn't play it unless it was more than a murder-fantasy. It if chronicled the slow deterioration of the "protagonist" and culminated in that scene, then there may be some artistic value. If it is just shoot-civilians-to-get-a-high-score, then no thanks, very immature.

Last time I checked, socialists didn't shop at Walmart and atheists didn't go to church either. Does that make them nazis too?

Boycotting is a form of voting, i.e. free speech.

If you meant to make a logical point, I seem to have missed it.

When did I say anything about me hating anyone?

And I drew my conclusions from sources like polygon.com who talked to the developers and users on revleft who linked to their Facebook profiles, not to mention the team's wording of "rebelling against modern day political correctness" as the game's inspiration. Only right wingers say crap like that. Pretty rational method of drawing conclusions I think.

But maybe you're right... they could just be subscribed to neo-nazi group updates for research purposes. Seems legit. Let's go with that.

Gaymur journalizm sites like Polygon and Kotaku are incredibly easy to "bait" with stuff like this. Polygon themselves have already written, I think, four entire articles on Hatred within the short span of time that the trailer has been up. Their main source of revenue is from page traffic on stuff that is controversial or likely to offend the crazy, over-sensitive feminist/SJW crowd or whatever. IMO they're a joke.

Heaven forbid you take the man at his word when he tells you flat out why he's done something.

It appears that your own agenda is forcing you to ignore the answer that he gave you.

I think this game looks disgusting, and I'm finding it hard to believe so many people on this form seem to be into the premise of the game. They can make whatever they want, but if there is an actual market for this game, then that is what frightens me.

Oh it will be a huge hit and cause some controversy for sure which is rather the point of the developers I'd say because it boosts sales.

As far as public outcry, I doubt many will care so long there's no nudity. That's what seems to upset people the most. Don't dare show a boob, but it's okay to shove a 4 foot dildo down an innocent pregnant Mother's throat just for kicks.

I think that's mostly an American phenomenon (i.e., violence and murder against dozens of people is OK, but sex is most certainly not). I a big part of it is because we're a very pro-military culture that's also inhabited by a large group of conservative/religious people.

Yeah that could very well be. I live stateside and I see that all the time.

Apparently, Epic isn't thrilled about Unreal Engine 4's associated with the game.

http://www.dualshockers.com/2014/10...oved-from-hatreds-mass-murder-driven-trailer/
I laughed a bit when I saw the UE4 intro knowing what I heard about this title.

Epic said:
However, the video is using the trademarked Unreal Engine 4 logo without permission from Epic...
Which sounds like bullshit. This implies if a game is made using the unreal engine, the logo is optional. It's more likely Epic forces games to include their logo as part of their license to use the engine.
