All of the drivers and software are downloadable from Hauppauge's website! It's all right here.

That is exactly the reason OEM deal is not for everyone.

I'm not an "ingrate" and don't apprecitate your comment....i could say a few things about you myself, but don't want to start a thread war. And it's true i don't know too much about business, but i think that since they raised their price partly due to Anandtech purchasers that they should give us a break. Robert

They got back to me pretty quick after sending them an email just this morning and I sent two other clarification emails to them later today and both were answered within an hour. I'm very impressed with their customer service!

Well crap. Ive sent them 2 emails now with no response.

EDIT: Received an email, and the card is backordered until mid April. I'm canceling the order and picking one up at pcalchemy. Its $99 right now, which is still $40 cheaper than Newegg.

Consider your statement. You think they should lower their prices because there is such a great demand for their product? That's the opposite way that businesses work. The law of supply and demand says that if the demand increases, the price increases. It's the way of the world, get used to it.

And yes, you are an ingrate. You're upset because this company raised the price on a product from a level that was probably costing them in the long run and making Happauge mad to a level that is still far under market value. You're upset that they're trying to turn a profit; that is the sole purpose of a business.

Anyways, they do take awhile to respond to emails....or answer their phone! On two seperate occasions I called for an order status since I didn't get any sort of shipping confirmation and the phone must have rang for more than 30 rings each time. By the time I got ahold of anyone my stuff arrived as advertised. I don't think they were prepared for the Anandtech effect.

Does anyone know, is it possible to use the Creative Remote I have for my Audigy 2ZS with this card? I know you couldn't use it directly, but could you somehow tie it into the WinTV 2000 software?

BTW, this card is actually pretty great, and at a great price to boot.

Looks quite tempting... I currently have a hipix HDTV tuner in my HTPC. The avsforum version of the drivers haven't been updated in ages(while the oem drivers are older then dirt). The NTSC caption features are total crap and will probably always be so. There isn't much on ota HD that I want to record anyway.

I kinda had it with windows XP for HTPC use too, and I'm really itching to give linux+mythtv a try, as it has offical support for the MPEG2 encoder on this card. I just would like to get some use out of my HTPC that I spent so much time and money on building...

Just got back from being out of stste on a job and checked on my order i made last week since they had not sent me anything. The lady who i spoke with said they did not expect any until the 19th and asked if i would like to wait, to which I said no and she then offered me a card that only worked with linux which I also declined.
Anyone know what she was talking about on the linux card ?

I got one back when it was $80 (sadly missed out at $69 then $75). It arrived just 3 days later.

I swapped out my existing WinTV 250 PVR card with this one and my Windows Media Center 2004 works wonderfully! The TV quality is great (as good as the 250PVR) and the FM radio works perfectly.

This was an awesome find. And now that I have 2 capture cards I am ready for the MCE 2005 (aka "Harmony") which has support for multiple capture cards.
