Has anyone tried out or seen the Hauppage WinTV-HD card?
It sound promising but I was wondering if it worked in conjunction with your existing video card. It has multiple outputs and one of them looks like the PC monitor jack. Hopefully it is a pass-through or something like the old Voodoo cards. I like the fact that it has BOTH an antenna input (for HD) and a cable input.
Anyway, I am hoping to retire my TV-Wonder one day and want to upgrade to something more high-def. I spend a lot of time at my PC and like being able to pop-up a TV show on my screen. It would be really cool to have an HD image. At $399 this card is cheaper than a decoder box for an HD-Ready TV. Looks like this might be the way to go for us poor guys until HD TVs come down in price. Granted, your PC monitor is a lot smaller.
