Wow this is a great deal. I even had a promotional code from an order i made back in december that i got another $10 off. There is some support through ivtv with the pvr-150. I am going to see how well it works. If i have trouble with it ill just ebay it later. This card is suppose to be just as good as the pvr-250 and is about half the price.

AFAIK the Theater 550 does not have HD support. ATI does have their HD Wonder but it is SW encoding.

i got two over a month ago when the price finally went back down to the lowest point, also applied my Pi/2 discount. very pleased with the cards! i like this card better than my old Avermedia M150. The image/audio quality is about the same but the Avermedia drivers weren't that great since I'd see this green line at the bottom of the screen sometimes.

anyway, highly recommend this card at this price. just hope they last me a while before HDTV cards start becoming the norm.

Which PVR software are you using, Windows MCE 2005, BeyondTV, SageTV or MythTV?

Note that Comp-U-Plus is also selling the dual-tuner version (PVR-500 MCE) for $125. For people short on PCI slots but need multiple tuner, it may be a viable option.

Agreed. One thing to note though is, from what ive heard, the pvr-500 doesn't have as good of linux support as the pvr-150. Im sure it will have full support at some point since the pvr-500 is a relatively new card but im just saying at this point. Since im building a MythPC box linux support was high on my list. I decided to go with the pvr-150 for right now. If i need dual tuner support i might sell it on ebay and add the pvr-500 ltr.

I'm using a Radeon 8500 video card. I've used BTV, SageTV, and WINTV2000... they all worked well with the PVR-150.
