I cant wait to put this sucker in my HTPC... Gonna have this and my ATI HDTV Wonder (cause I dont want to spen $350 on the MyHD card No MCE support.

Does the WinTV-PVR-500MCE do HD? I'm confused, and interested, about your post, above.

no it doesn't do HD tv, it simply has dual TV tuners and I believe FM radio support. The ATI HDTV-Wonder will supply the HD Television I'm looking for. So technically I'll have 3 tuners in my HTPC, and coincidentally 3 HDDs. One for each tuner to record to (Well hopefully, I need to install Windows MCE) But I was looking for a good TV Tuner and These are EXCELLENT Cards and this is their top of the line card for $118 you dont get much better.

Im avoiding MCE with my ATI HDTV because of the problems associated with it. Will wait until its supported in MCE natively first.

But this dual tuner card I believe is a native MCE product.

The HDTV Wonder is natively supported by MCE

Yep. HDTVMan, alot of people are reporting the ATi HDTV card works best in an MCE machine.

you're welcome. I've got a TV-wonder in my non HTPC and its pretty crappy. I was hoping this would be alot better quality, and the fact that I'll now have 3 PVR's in one machine makes me happy.

Wow I just bought the 250mce a couple of months ago for this price, but it hasn't been very useful for my intentions. Great price though on a double tuner card.

Same question, can I use Win XP pro?

yes you can use Windows XP Pro, the only difference is that it's certified for Media Center Edition, also it does support picture in picture but you must have tuner software that supports it.

I recommend SageTV if you don't have MCE. If you do have MCE, it's pretty easy to use.

You could use the s/w fom Hauppauge, but frankly, it's not very good.

nope , they dont . they are still under dev for the PVR 150. So as soo as thats done they may work on this ..since this is like 2x 150s
