Someone suggested earlier to get a Hauppauge WinTV card for my TV tuner, to go along with my V3 3000. Does anyone have one of these? How good are they, and do they have all the functions an ATI would have? Also, do you know if the USB is any poorer than the regular PCI version?

I have the Win TV card. The quality is great, and it has everything you need to capture video stills and video from any source. I read a review that said the USB version is worse than the PCI one. Go to their website and find the model that fits your needs:

Hauppauge makes very good TV-cards, ATI is pretty good either. If you have to choose between them I'd suggest go with Hauppauge. Only better stay away from USB

I have the Hauppauge tv card and its good. Captures video from my cam-corder really well.

I have the WinTV USB from the deal at OFfice Depot a few months ago. It isn't that bad for watching TV. I wish I would have the PCI version to be honest but I wanted it for my laptop too so I was stuck with the USB version. Every once in a while, the thing just starts to lock up and I end up rebooting. I recently switched to a KT7Raid board so that could be a problem but considering I can use my scanner again, I won't complain about this minor glitch. I use it maybe twice a week and usually only to check what is on tv.
