I've said this a million times before. Comcast's service is great, their CUSTOMER service is beyond horrible. Last August I signed up for new service with them, the promotion was $69.99/month for TV and internet for a year, free installation, and a $100 rebate debit card. I asked the sales rep on the phone at the time what paperword or contract there would be for the rebate, and he said that would be handled and signed for at the time of installation. Of course, he was wrong, the installer had no idea what I was talking about and said he didn't deal with that stuff, so I just signed the standard pink work order sheet and that was it. I called back and they assured me it would come in the mail after having service for 90 days. After about two months, I called again just for reassurance, and they told me the same thing - within 6 weeks after 90 days of service.
Well, it's now January 18th and of course no rebate card. I did a live chat online and she said she couldn't help and gave me a rebate number to call. I called it and they told me they didn't handle this particular rebate and to call Comcast. I talked to Comcast customer service, who forwarded my question to marketing who is now telling me that promotion never existed and I must be mistaken.
I am prepared to do whatever necessary to get my hundred bucks and to put Comcast in the worst light possible. How should I proceed going about acquiring names of supervisors and those responsible and filing formal complaints? I don't really care about the effort involved, this is about more than the money at this point. Any help would be appreciated.
