i believe the contrary to be true. a chiropractor should be the first choice. if it's not a problem chiropractic can fix, seek medical attention.[/quote]
<Cut out some of the nested quote bullshit....>
I'm a believer in chiropractic for SOME things.
No, I don't believe all the bullshit that many "crackers" claim that chiropractic can cure, but back pain in many cases CAN be treated by a series of adjustments and therapy.
For many things, seeing a chiro before a regular doctor makes good sense. MOST doctors will only prescribe pain meds for back pain without trying to treat the underlying cause of the pain. Yes, if it's bad enough, they may send you for x-rays, MRI's, and even CT scans, then to a neurosurgeon for treatment, but if it's that bad, so will most chiropractors.
I had one chiro for several years, and when my back finally went to shit, he was the first to recommend that I see a MD to get an MRI, then when the results came in, he also said, "I can't help with this. You need a neurosurgeon."
IMO, there are a lot of quacks in the medical professions, chiropractors and MDs with lots of cute little letters after their names. IMO, most are REALLY only interested in one thing...making money off of your misery.
