I think that either I have been hacked or there is something wrong with my computer.
Windows 2000 IP Configuration (get info through DHCP)
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : stcla1.sfba.home.com
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 24.15.93.XXX
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 24.15.93.1
As I understand it all my packets should be routed through my gateway. BUT whenever I trace route anything my first hop is always to 10.4.164.33. I looked this up and its:
Internet Assigned Numbers Authority
Information Sciences Institute
University of Southern California
4676 Admiralty Way, Suite 330
Marina del Rey, CA 90292-6695
What are my packets routed through USC? Have I been hacked? Is there something I need to do? I don't get it, I don't have any warez, this is a brand new clean install of W2k Pro and I'm running zone alarm! HELP
Has @home been hacked? I've e-mailed security@home.com today, and i'm waiting for a reply. Right now I'm on my DSL and all the packets and tracerts go through my gateway and it works fine. I'm afraid to go back on my cable modem (which BTW would go up and down, REALLY annoying!).
