I had two Samsung VGA-1000 phones, an N400 phone, two YH-999 Portable Media Centers, and a YP-T7Z that all failed around the same time. I RMA’d the N400 multiple times but the speakerphone never worked leading me to the understanding that it was simply engineered incorrectly. When I needed to RMA the YH-999 and YP-T7Z Samsung told me to put them all in the same outer box with all the RMA numbers and to put each item in their own smaller box with their particular RMA numbers. Of course, they claimed to only receive one and I was out well over $200 for a device that didn’t work straight out of the store (store wouldn’t allow an exchange without losing a special bundle deal I got on JBL OnTour Pro speakers).
Samsung, man. Ugh. When I objected to a refurbished replacement for something I just paid full price for they even admitted to me that refurbished was better than new because they were actually tested, as opposed to the new items (YP-T7Z could not charge right out of the box but could boot off the residual charge from manufacturing; as if the USB pins were simply disconnected).
