Yes. I joined a forum for the bike I was buying and complained that the manufacturer was hiding an MPG drop in the current model year and didn't find out about it until I had already placed my deposit. They thought that I was just a troll trashing their favorite motorcycle because I neglected to mention that I was buying mine anyway and would have with or without having already placed the deposit. I was simply disappointed and thought it should have been made more prominent.
Also, they use the old forum view that makes a separate link and page for every reply, prompting much of the conversation to take place in the subject lines. I set my preferences to make it more like a traditional forum, but understood that most people were just skimming subjects, so I made sure not to respond to multiple posts in my thread with a single post. Responding to one post doesn't always answer someone else saying the same thing because of the way the conversation is branched in their view, which I could no longer see, so I made sure to reply to each person with a different post trying to make sure I left no loose ends. This came off as being belligerent, defensive, and pushy when it was actually far from my intentions. That may have also contributed to it.
It was clear from the moderator/administrator notes that they thought I was a troll. Funny, because I've contributed a lot related to the bike on competing community forums over the years.
