Yes, I got lost while riding my bike when I moved into a new city. I was probably a block away from my Aunt's house, too. Cop gave me a ride home; I remember crying hysterically.
Sure, when I was a little Possessed, one of my neighbors was a cop. He picked me up at school once as a favor to my parents. He even switched on the woopity woop siren for a bit.
Yep. Sheriff's car once, lots of squad cars, detective's car, knockers car, state police cruisers (2 different states), paddy wagon once. Only once do I recall being in the front seat (detective's car).
None in almost 12 years though.
I spent several months as a "guest" in the local "crossbars hotel" once upon a time...for a while, I'd catch a ride to work with one of the patrol cars who was heading my direction...
Not surprisingly, it was quite an eye opener for some people to see me get out of the back of a cop car...and it cost me a job...some people just have no sense of humor...
I've had the cops "pick me up" on a few occasions as well...not as in "a cab picked me up," but rather, they took me away in bracelets.
Yes, when I was 10. Crazy old lady down the street saw my two of my cousins and I playing with toy guns and freaked out. Next thing you know Roscoe and Enos were powersliding into the cul-de-sac to apprehend the dangerous criminals roaming the street.
