I took a 9mm through the hand, been stabbed 2x, shot at but not hit 4x. All in the kine of duty, though the bullet through the hand ended my career as a High risk security and bodyguard.

computers don't shoot back.

The gun was never fired at me, but I got a nice long look down the barrel of a loaded .32 when I was 18. Crazy MF boyfriend. Dating him was the first and last insane thing I ever did.

A gun was pointed at my face once during a robbery in the restaurant where I worked at.

When I was small..I went to a festival and someone threw a dart right at my neck..luckily it missed my veins..thank got nothing to me.

unfortunatly Ranger x you are in the minority. it was all too commen to here about a frined or person i knew who had been shot or killed. and yes i WAS in a gang and i shot at lots people but if i didnt i would have been the one that was shot. i really posted this thread with the intention of demonstrating what life is like for most people in this country, what with the majority of this board being suburban white males who have absolutly no idea what a hard life is. so the next time ya go spouting off about how your life sucks and you cant get your nice new car just think about those that wish they could afford a gun so that they can sleep peacefuly at night.

When I was 16 a local store got robbed. Being a stupid kid I ran the hell away. I heard two shots being fired but didn't stop to look around. I later learned that those shots were aimed at me. I counted myself lucky that day.

The perps were later caught after a massive manhunt which lasted a few hours.

funny how you always see a massive manhunt when the crime is comminted in an afluent neiborhood. there were plenty of robberies and murders in my nieborhood but i dont ever remember a manhunt of ANY kind.

Hey, bigvince, save your lectures for somebody else. What did RangerX say that was so bad? He was lucky, so what? What were you out smoking weed for? You were in a situation you shouldn't have been in. You could have been studying at home or been at a job working for money for college.

My father (retired police officer) and I were fishing in a remote canal system near Englewood florida, the water was brackish, and we were after Redfish. We had pulled up along a big bend of cattails and had tied off to some cattails. It was about 15-20 minutes and suddenly you could hear a singing zip and the sound of cattails breaking. Turns out a gator had come over near us and pulled up on the far side of us along the cattails, just out of our direct view. The poachers who came down the canal didn't see us on the far side of the bend up against the cattails and opened fire on the gator, the gun was semi-auto. At least one shot did hit the gator because it went into spinning throes... it was hit in the head. I don't know how many shots were fired, but I think 5. We didn't stay around to bitch at the poachers, and we quickly kicked it up and got the hell out of there, taking part of the cattails with us. From then on, me and my dad fish with at least one gun on the boat.

Three guys were fully armed. Made the local news. They forced themselves in someone's house and held them hostage. They gave up a few hours later.

If you live in a bad neighborhood and you have a tuough that mostly your fault if you just ignore otheres do your work get a job etc you won't have much problem. I know from experience. Joining a gang is just asking for the trouble.

when i was growing up in honduras, a couple of friends and i went in the woods all of us carrying large weapons (not a weapons man so i don't know what guns exactly) and we stumbled upon an abandoned little village at the end of our town on the outskirts of tegucigalpa just below the hill. a couple of my friends stayed at the top of the hill while myself and some others went down to explore the town and see what we could find. while down there, my friends at the top of the hill thoguht it to be funny to shoot at us from the top of the hill. one of them in particular had a rather large gun that had a spray-like shot.
it was extremely scary and i almost got hit several times.

when i finally reached the top of the hill after the fighting had subsidized, i threw down my gun and hit him in the nose and broke it.
we all laughed- we were pretty stupid to say the least.
