No.

Wait. You dreamed you were shot, and it hurt a lot? That's odd. It's unusual to feel pain in a dream. More likely your back was hurting for some other reason and your brain turned it into getting shot.

had a pellet from a pellet gun ricochet off a rock and hit me in the arm when I was a kid. It stung bad and there was a little blood, but nothing major. Glad it wasn't my eye!

That's nothing compared to getting shot by a real gun though

I have not, nor do I plan on being.
Two of my dad's three purple hearts are from being shot. Yes, there are scars from it. From what he said, being shot sure beats having a mortar explode in front of you (purple heart #3).

I've never been shot but the closest I've been to it is seeing bodies on the floor after hearing shots fired outside of my apartment. Messy things, bullet wounds are.

I had a .22LR round go through the middle finger on my left hand from a misfire when I was about 14 or so. Just chipped the bone miraculously but there was a distinctive entry & exit hole right about at the last knuckle from the tip. They had to put a splint on that finger for a few weeks, I never raised my hand so much in school as I did in those few weeks. :sneaky:

About 4 years later when I was working in a factory, the same middle-finger along with the ring-finger got the tips caught in a brake press and split em both open like hotdogs. They both still work fine other than being a little numb on the sides that split open, and it isn't even that noticeable. They hurt like hell when they get cold and then start warming back up though.

Shot? No. Shot at? Almost daily for almost 2 years.

I did catch a small (nickel-sized) piece of shrapnel in my leg...that hurt like a motherfucker, and burned like hell...

Were you playing 'catch' with a Howitzer again?

I had a dream I was shot by an AK47 the other night. The bullet went through my left abdomen and missed all of my internal organs.

I remember telling everyone in the dream that it didn't reall hurt lol.

I know someone who got shot, sadder thing is the bullet can't be removed since doing so will risk paralysis. Tough luck.

I shot myself when I was about 15 with a .22. Was out plinking in the woods and shot the underside of a fridge. Whatever that big chunk of steel was underneath, it caused the bullet to riccochet directly back and hit my index finger as I held the front stock. Missed my eye by about 2" I'd guesstimate.

Pain level ?? Maybe a 4. It hurt less than getting my knuckles crushed in a door frame as my sister tried to close her door as I gripped the doorframe to help a friend carry a large chair down the steps.

BTW, this is the last thread I would have ever imagined posting in, but I pretty much forgot about it until giving it some thought.

Many times with a bb gun. It hurts and the bb will likely lodge under your skin. Yep, we had bb gun wars when we were younger. That was incredible stupid and surprisingly nobody got seriously injured as one of our rules "no head shots".

I shot at a steel barrel with a .22 when I was a teenager. The bullet bounce back and I heard it go by my ear..... I was also shot at in Regina as I was walking on the street. No hits but it was a close calls.

Yes. I worked in an industry that placed me in an active war zone for a while. It hurts. In my case, adrenaline was pumping hard, and by the time that wore off, I was in shock, so pain level, on a scale of 1 to 10 with 5 being the worst case of kidney stones ever, its a solid 7 when you're feeling it full force.

Honestly, afterward the broken ribs from where the first couple rounds hit plates on my chest hurt almost as much haha. But pain killers are AWESOME. Those Fentanyl lollipops? Favorite. Thing. Ever.

Any scars?

robbing liquor store?

Got shot by one of my 4 older brothers when I was a kid back on the farm. Supposedly an accident, but with siblings you never know.

Scars, yes, even after all these years. Kind of masked by the scars/burns I got later when I used to work with carbon arc lights.

I've never yet robbed a liquor store where the person with the gun could aim well enough to hit me.
