....love the catchy music in the background....played the video a few times just to listen to it...probably some house music..

I think he probably copped a feel, wouldnt pay, then get a foot in the eyeball.

I have been to Thailand but not Bangkok. Be a smart traveler and you will be fine.

Yes we did a tour with a bus-load of people through Chaing-Mai and Chiang-Rai and finally to Bangkok. It was hella-hot and sweaty. Nothing special other than temples to visit and elephants to ride. It's a one-time deal for sure, but I wouldn't discourage anyone from visiting. Wife got a few massages. We didn't feel unsafe roaming the streets at night at all - there were plenty of people. A few of us on the bus got sick from something though, but it was short-lived.

What was it like? Personally I think its too dangerous to visit that country, but I wonder what other people thought of it.

Thailand can be magical for a holiday, especially if you're into serious beach time with a significant other.

Bangkok itself is less interesting. Huge city, terrible traffic, dirty, loud, etc. So not exactly relaxing. Some ok shopping malls but not worth visiting just for that. My gf's bro lives there so we're lucky enough to have a 'local' show us round. Can't comment on the night life or standards of hotels, but as a stopover to the islands it's fine.

TL;DR - Bangkok can be part of a visit to Thailand, but the islands/beaches should be the focus.
