Not really. The closest I came was Chick-fil-A but that didn’t last long.

There are plenty of brands I avoid though or try to minimize my exposure to. But really I’m just exercising my tiny power as a consumer.

All the fucking time.

No Goya,
No CVS,
No New Balance,
No BP gasoline,
No Everquest
No Wow
No Overwatch

I haven't managed to completely cut out Home Depot but if I can find it at Lowes, I go there.
Man no way I can quit home depot. The lowes by me are a total joke. I can never find anything I need.

Not about political beliefs* per se, but:

EA
Ubisoft
Nestle
Amazon - I give other suppliers a decent chance and try to bump Amazon to the bottom of my list of preferred suppliers
HSBC
Orson Scott Card - raging homophobe

If I can boycott any company that I *know* employs sweatshop labour, I will. Nike for example I know at least have done, and last I checked they were employing weasel tactics rather than owning up and believably committing to changing.

(off the top of my head)

* - given the state of American politics in particular, is it really about "political beliefs" any more? If your beliefs/actions lead you to continually try to shit on people less fortunate than you, IMO that's not politics, that's being a raging arsehole.

CFA but it's not a big sacrifice since I always thought their product was fine but nothing special.

Were it not for family I would not set foot in Florida for the rest of my natural life and be quite content doing so.

I went to flick a chick long time ago right after the uproar over marriage, hated the greasy food and I knew I would so no need to ever go back.
And the MyPillow, I knew that was all BS advertising when I went into a goodwill outlet store and they have MyPillow's stacked up to the ceiling. Unopened, new, in boxes. Told me #1 they were crap pillows and #2 no one wanted them and #3 people that do get them for gifts from people who can't think of anything else to buy, the receiver don't want them either.

I quit church because most of those preachers only preach Trump these days, at least is the case with the evangelicals churches. If I want to hear Trump propaganda I'll turn on Fox. Those poor Christian saps. They sold their souls to Trump for a little abortion payback, as if they really cared about a poor black woman having an abortion. Then later in life they use that black kid as target practice.
Evangelicals, don't you just love em?

Just got there myself. My brother finally sold his place, his boat too, moved back to Maine last year. I stay the hell away from Florida literally all the time now, it's lovely. Highly recommended.

Regarding OP, yeah I've tried to maintain distance from certain GQP supporting businesses ever since The Fuckening, Home Depot for example. Certainly the Hate lobby supporting outfits like CFA like Hobby Lobby. Keeping my business local is something I take pride in, though for some things I still have to go online. No matter what I steer clear of Chinese brands and goods whenever possible. Zappos and Chewy stand out as good retailers, I give them a lot of business.

I’m boycotting entire STATES right now.
I was at a graduation party last night and one of the guests' daughters is starting college in Florida.

In 2023 she had to be given the "Speech" as to why it is not safe for black people in that state. Similar to the same speech all black parents have to give their kids. The speech white parents do not have to give.

I didn't interject but I hope she has an alternate choice.

One lady had an unopened case of food from Chewy and she had just euthanized her pet. She called for an RMA and explained the situation. The CSA at Chewy sent out a condolence card signed by the some of the staff, credited her card and asked her to donate the food to a local animal shelter.
You hear those kinds of stories about Chewy.

My wife is not at all fond of snakes and gators, so Florida has always been a bridge too far.

Hobby Lobby is pretty much my only hard ban. Fuck those people.
I mostly avoid Wal-Mart.
Some local places that I just will go somewhere else due to various things, such as allowing open carry, etc.

I ASSume New Balance had something to do with this.
There is a reason why Matthew Lebretton has a chin that resembles an asshole.

I recently dropped Walgreens for their decision about birth control options so I'm also curious about CVS.
Old man issues .
I think this more circumstances than anything else, but I went from buy exclusively New Balance shoes to buying Mizunos around the time I heard about this. I don't think it was as a result, but maybe subconsciously.

This happened to my mom. Got a three month supply of dog food right before/after we had to put our dog to sleep. Full refund and asked her to donate it. IIRC, they even provided a list of shelters in the area.

New Balance, Ameritrade, some others I don't remember now due to owners being big Republican PAC donors. Probably won't be buying a Tesla due to Musk's politics either.

Nike after Phil Knight singlehandedly funded that spoiler candidate in the Oregon governor's race since he's not rich enough and needs more tax cuts.

I used to pine after Tesla cars, but between Musk's descent and the general build quality issues... forget that. I'll get something else when I'm in the market for an EV, like a Kia or VW.

Tesla can have me back when Musk is out, and when quality becomes a priority.

Yes: Hobby Lobby and CFA.

Not in the market for a car, but Tesla is on my avoid doing business with list because of Musk; Kia and Subaru are also kind of on that list for the moment for their disabling of select features in vehicles sold in MA to protest the right-to-repair law.

Chick Fil A but not for the reason most here do. No onions. Any fast food place that doesn't carry onions is dead to me.

Try to avoid buying stuff at Hobby Lobby but the mrs does a lot of craft work so we've come up with a work around. Go there and if she sees something she wants to make take pictures, measurements and materials needed then make it at home.

Having worked in the grocery industry for 41 years never buy food products at Wally World. Usually just get motor oil & filters.

Now that I realize there are plenty of substitutes (and better) semi-sweet chocolate morsels, I have now left the world of Nestles completely.

Costco has 2 lines, hint, buy the cheaper one. The 50% cocoa, and 100% pure vanilla are not really shining though for the cost difference.

Sure. All the time. Some brands were late with the pull out game in Russia when the invasion started. Fuck those.
