yes, tho relatively small pieces
they are usually used to flavor things, i dont think you would eat them like the mushrooms you get on a pizza (tho maybe thats just bc of cost)
you can also find affordable items flavored with truffle oil

Some restauants charge $2 per shave of truffle onto your dish. They're very subtle tasting, but if you can afford the meal at a restaurant that charges that much you can also afford the truffles. If you aren't a foodie it's not worth it.

I've had both white and black truffles. White truffles are HELLA expensive---like $200 for one. You usually get white truffle shavings on dishes. Black truffles are less expensive, but more harsh tasting.

They really have a flavor of thier own. I guess I would say it's a cross between mushroom, hickory, and beef...with a bit of "earthyness" (ie- dirt) flavor. Good ones tend to be strong, so a little goes a long way.

You can buy truffle oil if you'd like to test it out. Add some to some grilled mushrooms and you'll get a similar (but not exact) taste.
