And, several times with my family, we saw no one or nearly no one for several consecutive days. (camping in the wilderness) One of my favorite trips was to Bog River Flow in the Adirondack mountains in NY. Kayak or canoe in. No motor boats allowed. Once you're in 10 miles, you tend to see very few people. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Two or three times a day, a couple people would go by in (usually) kayaks. Then, a day spent hiking to the top of one of the mountains (Whiteface), and other than at the base, I think we saw 2 people the entire day. Again, absolutely beautiful scenery.
