From 10 before you were out? edit: or up from 1(didn't realize some people count up)
I was a teenager when I had a surgery to repair a fractured tibia. I knew the anesthetic would put me out but I didn't really think about when or how it was going to happen so when they told me to count backwards, I thought it was just a test and didn't think much of it. Next thing I knew, I was awake in a recovery room and my leg felt like it was on fire. In hindsight, if I had known, I would've concentrated to stay awake just to see how far I could get as I counted. I think I made it as far as 8. :\
