If the method wasn't a definitive way of identifying or documenting the moment the stroke occurred, then the margin of error for every other method ranges from hours to days.

It's pointless to try discussing it with someone who's simply upset that you don't believe in the same superstitious bs they do. If logic could get through to them, they wouldn't be crying and pointing a finger at you in the first place.

My mother in law has similar stories. She just...senses things. She knew about a miscarriage, a death in the family, and a few other odd situations before anyone ever told her about them. She can almost tell you down to the minute when they happen.

There's definitely some force at play that none of us can can ask for or understand.

I once was sleeping and was semi awake but too tired to really do anything, and someone came to me and was hugging me and saying stuff like I love you etc... but since I was so tired I did not really want that person to know I was awake so just pretended to still be sleeping. Then that person said "You're going to die tomorrow. I'll miss you" and I slightly opened my eyes and saw the person from close, so like, maybe just the legs and part of the body, very basic figure given it was dark, then that person vanished, and I woke up in the exact same position, realizing I just got a sleep paralasys moment.

The weird thing about sleep paralysis is no matter how freaky a situation may be, it's not, at the time. Though sometimes I'll get it where I don't see anything, but I am in a state of shock where it feels like something bad will happen, then I try to break out and finally succeed and the whole feeling goes away. It's weird stuff.

I agree that visual evidence is suspect, but what about noises such as footsteps, which can easily be recorded? Seeing something out of the corner of your eye can easily be explained as the mind playing tricks. But hearing footsteps above you, when you're the only one home, and they go from one end of the house to the other? That's not so easily discredited.

Before I met my wife's family I had the strangest dream where I saw a small pond with a Great Blue Heron standing in it and a frog playing "The Red River Valley" on a harmonica.

It was very real, but strange and funny so I told my wife about it. That weekend I went to their home and looked out their window. In their yard they had a small pond with a Great Blue standing in it.

The frog? Well no of course. Instead, my future FIL was watching an old western with some cowboy playing the tune. I showed my wife the heron and she heard the music. Needless to say it was freaky.

That is very cool. I love shiit like that.

I had an instance where I felt like I was being chased in my house when I was about 12 in the middle of the night while all my family was asleep, after I had woken to take a piss.
I felt something come behind me and rush so I ran into my room and closed the door. I felt the door being pushed on as I tried to hold it shut and I barred it with a chair until the pushing seemed to stop. I waited there for a small while in panic before eventually heading back to sleep.

That's something I've never been able to explain

My sister and my folks purchased farm together. On the day the old people moved out, the lady of the house died. She just dropped dead getting out of the car at the new home.
So there's the setup.
Now I'm staying at the old vacant farmhouse because some things have gone missing, some apparent vandalism. I awaken to the sound of someone walking across the second floor above, and then heavy footsteps down the only stairs. I step into that hallway and nobody is there, nor is there any way out of there but right past me.
That was a hell of a night for a 15 year old! Needless to say, I looked everywhere and could find no evidence of anything. I sure did not sleep the rest of the night.

I saw a small round metallic object cruising SLOWLY fairly high in the sky. Sun was reflecting off the object. I stared at it for a while trying to make it out. It left no trails like an airplane. Eventually I disregarded it, and resumed down the lake...

A few hours later, we were heading back in the opposite direction, and I saw it again. I studied it a bit further, and determined it was moving too slowly to be a plane. It wasn't skydivers or a parachute. I don't believe it would have been a small aircraft, like those go-karts with a parachute. It definately wasn't a helicopter. I was stumped... So, I start saying to my buddy, "Hey, check this out... What is..." and I turned around to get his attention, and when I turned around, IT WAS GONE!

I'm not saying it an alien craft, but I have NO IDEA what it was! Maybe sunlight reflecting off of a satellite? Seemed to big for that, and it was moving too fast. But it was also too high to be a small craft... ???


Then a few weeks ago, it was my wife, cats, and I in the house, and I was getting ready for bed, brushing my teeth. I hear my wife mutter something just outside the door. I say "What?", and look around the corner, and there was nobody there. The cats were all asleep, TVs and radios were all off, everything else was turned off. I open the bedroom door and my wife was already asleep! Very odd. No other ghostly appearances before or since. However, I ABSOLUTELY heard a loud audible voice, VERY CLOSE to me.

Radio waves in my fillings? I dunno. However, no drugs or booze were involved!


Anyone have any ideas on what the UFO could have been?



*update2-26-2010* No more ghosts, but I saw a similar UFO again. I live in South Bend, IN, (Home of Notre Dame) so we get a fair amount of blimps near football season. But the fact that it disappeared makes the blimp theory less likely. There are tons of state parks nearby so the chance it was a weather balloon are very good too, but it was HIGH in the sky, and the fact that it disappeared in an instant, on a day with no wind, is weird. I have no problem saying it could be a UFO, but South Bend is SO boring, even aliens would avoid this place.
