Family emergency 1x
Appliances being installed/fixed at home (Work from home over VPN, probably done that 2x)
Family member's car broke down 1x (this week )

Not sick but when I worked retail, I used to lie about booking family trips to get out of working long weekends. Idiots always scheduled us in at the last minute so I'd tell them my "train tickets were non-refundable". Always worked.
