I'm wondering if some of you have ever dated or been in a relationship with a smoker, to have something to base your opinions off of. I didn't smoke and my first girlfriend did, and we were together for a little under two years. Ya, kissing her right after she had a cig you could taste it but it's not like when she walked in the room you fucking gagged from the smoke smell. I get the impression some of you actually think that.

That is EXACTLY how it is, and yes, I tried it. I think some people just have absolutely no sense of taste or smell, so they don't realize how incredibly grotesque it really is.

Moreover, if the purpose of dating is to lead to marriage and a lifelong commitment, why would you want to pursue someone who is going to die of cancer at a young age? Or at the very least they're going to look like an antique saddle by 40.

the purpose of dating is to get some. a long term relationship is a side effect.

also, i'm pretty sure 80% of people will die of some form of cancer one way or the other.
