IIRC, Tofu is just a soybased food product,right? I've made some soystuff that I liked, and even fried it, but, it wasn't stinky. I fear the stinky stuff.

I think it's fermented.

I've only had regular tofu, like in the plastic dishes. I like it, but no one else here does.

Are you kidding? I bet it's sliced abalone with sauteed shitake mushroom and mustard greens? I had it at a friend's wedding too. That dish is expensive and delicious. I only got 2 thinly sliced abalone before everyone else wolf 'em down.

Last wedding I went to they had the abalone the size of a fist mmmmmmmmmmm

never had it...but my friend who loves to eat anything in sight..HATES it...damn he eats the most exotic stuff but stinky tofu he would not eat.....he loves kimchi though...

Let me ask you this (and yes I've brought this up many times here)... why do seafood lovers like nasty-looking food ? You guys may like the taste, but I can't bring myself to cracking a shell and eating its guts.

When I went to Taiwan, all the night markets smelled like stinky tofu. Personally I like all tofu except the hard ones, I prefer silken tofu.

I also tried pigs blood for the first time and it wasn't too bad. It was mixed with rice and then congealed on a stick, looked like a popsicle.

Seriously............. you have never seen or tasted abalone? The texture is more dense then your normal shellfish.... almost like beef................ looks like it also (colour wise). Usually I've had it with mushrooms & gai lon
