Yes. And, I've seen where certain combinations of products automatically trigger a certain type of receipt, which can then be used on the following purchase to get a great discount on something else. I rarely take advantage of such deals, but have once or twice in the past. (Toilet paper was one, I think. I remember we didn't buy any toilet paper for at least a year after that, probably closer to 2 years.)

Yes, have used coupons on back of receipt before, though hardly ever. Coincidentally enough I'm gonna be using one soon cause I got $1 off at the laundromat ftw.

There were 6 different kinds of ad.
One was for oil changes.
One was for receipt paper.
Four were advertising that you could advertise on the back of receipts.

Yes, every once in a blue moon. Most are coupons where, even if you shop at the store, they aren't likely to be much of a deal. Examples:

20% off at Interstate battery. Great. I bought a new car battery (from Interstate) a year and a half ago. The previous one lasted seven years. Five years from now, what are the chances that coupon will still be printed?

A 6" sub at Subway for $1 when you buy one 6" and a medium soft drink. I never buy soda, and I seldom need 12" of sub.

$3 off of a $25 purchase at a nearby liquor store. Maybe the smallest liquor store I've ever been in, with some of the highest prices. I save more on regular prices just by shopping at the large liquor store one mile away.

One of the grocers I shop at print these on the back of their receipt, but they also print manufacturer coupons, usually for something you're buying or have purchased in the past. Buy some Fage yogurt, find a coupon for $1.00 off three Fage yogurts. I'll use that one.

Safeway has a separate coupon printer at the self checkout machines, usually specific to what you just scanned, but the freakin coupon bar codes dont work on the scanner. You have to ask the attendant to enter in a code. I'm done it a couple of times, but its not worth the hassle.

What state do you live in? I think in Illinois it may be illegal to have coupons for liquor purchases. Liquor can go "on sale" but I've never seen a coupon for it, and most store coupons exclude liquor.
