I made my own back in the day, and it was actually pretty damn good. I ordered this special plastic paper off the internet called teslin. The neat thing about this was when it was laminated, it kind of melted to the sleave making it like a solid card. This was much better than the paper that was laminated as it had a tendency to fall apart if not done properly. I also fabricated a hologram of sorts. There is this special reflective plastic that you can get from card and party outlets. It reflected the colors of the rainbow when you moved it in the light, mimicking the behavior of an actual hologram. I cut a piece with an exacto to the proper dimensions for my ID. Finally, I picked a state that was far enough away that most people wouldn't be familiar enough with the ID to tell it was a fake (Kansas.)

One day as I was leaving a bar, cops happened to be raiding it. They carded me and all of my friends, who were also underage. The cop started making me recite all of the info on the ID. I was doing really well until I got to the zip code. I couldn't remember it for the life of me, so I accepted defeat and admitted to it being a fake. I spent a night in jail as a result. If you do get a fake, be prepared to accept the consequences of breaking the law.

I had a fake ID from 18-21 and although I got caught 3 or 4 times, I never had it taken away from me. One cashier at a grocery store went as far as comparing the hologram to the one in the book then told me it didn't match, so I told her that was ridiculous and asked to see; once she gave me my ID back I just walked out of the store.

Most confusing time I was caught was when the guy at a small corner store blacklighted, scanned, and scanned the card again. He then google mapped the fake address I had on the card and after that was found not to exist, he had me write my name down on a piece of paper, sold me the beer I was there to buy, and told me never to come back.

Fake IDs are usually extremely easy to spot, especially depending on where it's from. The easiest and usually foolproof way of spotting the fake ID is the hologram that is on it. If the hologram says "secure" or "authentic" (which most fake IDs do) it is a fake, and all the holograms should have something to do with the state in which it was issued from. The most important thing when using one is just to be confident, know the info on the card, and I definitely advise not using a genuinely FAKE ID from the same state you are going to use it in. When they are looking at the ID start getting your cash/credit card ready and just ignore that they are looking at it, if they start looking carefully at the ID just tell them where to find the date as that's usually why they are looking closely at it (since it should be out-of-state).

Also, remember a borrowed ID from someone over 21 who you look like is always a safer bet than a FAKE ID, as the latter is a felony and the former can't be traced back to you unless you're stupid enough to wait around for the cops to try and get it back if it's taken.

yeah thats not the right attitude, but I have been caught dozens of times and cops have never been brought in, so yes it can happen but I guess you would have to have a bouncer on a bad day or something

try to get a real ID that says your 21 and bring nothing with your real name with you, got caught with my student ID before lol
