when you stop bs'ing and admit that racism is still alive and well in america, and actually have a conversation about it. a real one. then find a solution.
in the meantime stop stereotyping other cultures and then profiting from said cultures identity (i.e dress style, hair style, music style, etc).
Nope, although it is part of their culture as well.I thought dreadlocks were originally an Indian (south asian) thing?

well from this incident i have now learned a ton about dreadlocks. Who knew that they were used by so many cultures over such a long period of time.

Watch the videos in the thread, especially the explanation video. At the end of the day, it's just dirty hair. Why someone would be proud of dirty hair is beyond me.
Has anyone claimed stinky feet or halitosis yet?
And here is the young lady from the video. Quite attractive. Could she have gone for a whiter hair style? lol.
Wow. I didn't know any guys actually talked like that. I thought it was just a blown up stereotype made up in stoner movies.
Ick, both of them should be removed from society.
My hair, my rules, my body, Goldstein asserts, displaying a deep sense of entitlement. Sure, its only hair, and it is his hair to style. But does he have the right to style it in a way that has a deep cultural meaning to minority cultures? The ability to style your hair for fashions sake is a luxury, not a right. If it is offending others, Goldstein should consider giving up that luxury.
Trolls trolling trolls trolling trolls.
Some people on the other side of the pond agree with her:

Never know what info you need if you ever make it on Jeopardy, bro.
So much for the melting pot....

That's usually how it works when you have majority and minority populations. The only difference in this case is that their ancestors didn't come here willingly.Thats the point that most people here are missing (including you). Black people are only accepted into american middle class and above life when they conform to white cultural norms. When blacks maintain their own cultural identity they are not accepted into our society at large. On the flip side whites can take on black culture and use it with no personal effect.
That issue, laughably, is being ignored by so many in this thread. And shows we have a long way to go before we get to a place where we can have a real melting pot.
Its one of the reasons that make this place fucking horrible.

But if you're going to start making people pay for the sins of their fathers, you're never going to make any progress either. At some point you just have to get the fuck over it and move forward.
