Having 2 CD-Drives

Ok. I currently have a LiteOn 52x CD Burner.. I am thinking about ordering a DVD-Burner.. my only question is installing the new CD-Drive.

I built my computer so I do have some knowledge abotu computers.. but I havn't ever thought about this. If you have 2 CD-Drives.. where does the audio wire from the 2nd drive go to?

LOL are u kidding me.. u said u made ur own computer but u dont know the answers to your questions..lol man..

ok well the 2nd wire may or may not go to your sound card from ur cd-rom drive depending on how many inputs ur sound card has.

and yes u can play dvd on ur dvd burner

The audio wire from the 2nd drive will go into the second input in your sound card (assuming you have a second input). If you don't, i'd suggets taking the audio wire out of the cd-burner and putting it into your DVD-Burner so that you can watch dvd's.

Yes the Burner plays DVD's and if you are running Windows 98 or up then no wire(s) hook up is necessary for either Drives to play digi, just enable it in Properties...It's an OS thing not just Hardware so keep on building and pay no matters to MF remarks.

First off.. why would you even have the audio cable? the last time i used that was on an old soundblaster card.
Just get rid of the audio cable, and enable digital audio on your cd drive like someone mentioned.

You dont have to have the audio cable hooked up for the drive to work. Just pick one drive you want to use it on, then you're set.
