Having a married life without having kids

Heh i am 22 but i'll put in my 2 cents from what I have seen so far.

My family is great. My mom and dad support me, we are incredibly close, and I really cant say much bad about them. They are both well off and we have a nice lifestyle.

My uncle....Is married and has no kids. They are both well off in their jobs. They both seem to love it! I mean honestly...if my parents didnt have me and my brother they would have so much more money right now its crazy. If they invested a lot of it they probably could be retired right now. My uncle has a lot of free time and him and his wife are great together. Because of this i am on the fence if I want to have kids or not.

Ugh. As an adoptive parent to a beautiful Korean daughter and an equally beautiful Vietnamese son...I've grown tired of this question.

Every child deserves a family...regardless of birth country.

To the original poster...please check into adoption...domestic or international. It's not for everyone...but it's perfect for many.

Had your parents decided to not have kids, you wouldn't be here.

So before you go telling the OP that he's a lucky guy for not being able to have kids, think about what he and his fiance wants, and remember the fact that the only reason you are here is because your parents had you.

Here is my take on the subject. First off, sorry about your news. Second, children can be the hardest thing to deal in your life. They can also be the most fun thing you can have in your life. It all depends on what you make of it.

Advice, take time to think about it. Take a vacation together. Get away and think about it and talk about it and be open. Eventually, you two will work it out, and be happy as hell.

We have no children and never desired to have them. There is no gap. Children occupy ~20 years or so so if you plan to stay married for life, your home would be w/o children for longer than w/ children. We have never had any trouble filling our lives.
