I think he's referring to the war elephants that the Golden Company couldn't bring over on the ships to fight for Cersei. So, they're just chilling and having a grand time.

I really don't like the writing after E3.
Just think about it.. Daenerys has helped the north and lost a large part of her army and Sansa and Arya don't trust her? What a joke!
I'm picturing a scene where Dany tries to use her dragon to burn Jon for not giving her the D but it turns out he's fireproof like she is, at which point the tables turn.
Hot pie will be declared king because of his great bread recipes and rule over the kingdom.I think the finale will be Dany and Jon basically killing each other over the body of a slain Drogon, some lame-ass Hollywood crap, then cut to a live shot of RR Martin dude diabeetus'ng himself to death somehow, IRL, followed by a message confirming that no further books will ever be released, nor will any authors be allowed to touch this IP in perpetuity.
Take that, bitches.
Yes. It's definitely implied that Varys is trying to poison her there. Its the weapon of eunuchs after all.
Nah. Sansa is still little bird and little dove. XD She stays in Winterfell. I think it's going to be Bran. Jon will still adamantly not want it. Jon will live if only to pass on Longclaw for future generations.
I think Jon will kill her by pretending that he understands her. Not gruesome. Just a stab.
Little bird? No way. Jon has a lot of responsibility in this himself.
lmao. I have a feeling the dragon will not be happy when Jon kills Dany.
Tyrion is like Sam. I don't believe they'll kill him off. He'll be imprisoned but find the narrlative helps him cheat death once again.

How was it implied?? I kept thinking I missed something until I watched it again. Nothing in that first scene said anything that would make someone jump out and say poison other than people trying to explain away the show for it. We knew Dany was depressed over her dragon dying. At most this would mean to most people that she was a wreak over it.

The books definitely hint that Tyrion is the son of Aerys and that Joanna Lannister was his mistress.I was taking to someone about GOT, and they brought up Tyrion is part Targaryen, and recalled some scenes from earlier seasons where the dragons were accepting of him. I think it was in the dungeons in Mereen, but I don't recall exactly.
He's betting that Tyrion takes the throne.
Interesting. Part of his rationale also was that brains typically won over brawn, ...but less so in the last couple seasons.
I'll buy it, and pair it with him taking Sansa as queen. Why not.
Jon and Dany are dead mofos still. Big civil war, lots dead, but somehow the dwarf escapes once again.
Interesting.
Yeah so that exchange pretty clearly and non-cryptically means he was trying to poison her. There is no point to it otherwise.

Honestly, while watching it, I didn't get that at all. He was obviously writing to spread the word of Jon, and he covered it up and kept it covered while the girl was in the room -- I took that to just mean she was the kitchen help reporting to him about his otherwise normal work duties - being an adviser to the Queen and looking after her health. He'd have to keep up those appearances even if he had little intent to honor them at this point.
Now after re-reading the exchange, it would make little sense to remark about risk, reward, and Soldiers watching the kitchen help. If that was *not* intended to be a reference to a poison plot, then that's inexcusably bad writing on the part of the show. So bad even the worst writing moments of GOT would pale in comparison, not even remotely close. I just can't see it, that was definitely an effort to poison being discussed.
Now I would say the show really botched that plot line. It should have been carried further. Maybe it'll resurface in the finale but I'm not holding my breath. Varys would be the mastermind and I can't see it being carried out further, but perhaps the plot is already quite deep and many are already involved.
Killing Varys so early in that plot just doesn't do it any justice, if he was destined to die at least let his plot be discovered with him at the helm. Maybe it still gets carried out but that's a more worthwhile story arch at least, where they think they defended against an assassination attempt and cut the head off the snake.
At this point I'm more about enjoying the beautiful and visceral ride, but I can't say this final season is leaving me satisfied for this story. I may very well have to at least read the final books. Maybe after having seen the series I'll be able to breeze through the first book and hopefully get addicted enough to read the whole series but at this point, after being let down by the show, I think I gotta wait to start until GRRM actually finishes the damn thing. At this point that's not even guaranteed - and while an author perishing before finishing their final achievement is nothing new, I can't get emotionally invested in this series to have a total lack of conclusion TWICE.
Now that's a sentence I have never seen constructed before.
And you're worried about watching TV?! On a fucking cruise?!
What, you go on 10 of them a year, dragged kicking and screaming? lol
My wife and I watched GoT last weekend on vacation down in the Keys after we had a great mother's day dinner at a fine dining restaurant. We also met this couple that was sitting right next to us that is from around where we are, and they too were going to watch it lol.Hey - one of the best memories of MNF I have is on a cruise ship. All kinds of bar food I could keep ordering and reasonably priced beer (relative to a popular bar). Assuming they have HBO that is
