Am I the only one who found this episode slow and boring? I know it's a big setup episode where they are moving the plot along, but it was sloooooow and uninteresting. I found myself grabbing my tablet and reading sports news during the show.
each story is progressing quite slowly so far this season, as they are spending something like 3-5 minutes per arch.
Friendzone and Deryium der doodomeh have been tracking their dragon lady since the end of previous season, and they haven't made much progress in 3 episodes now. Likewise, in 3 episodes Dragon lady went from being told that she is going to the eternal red tent, to arriving at the red tent. ....like in season 3/4 that took her ~months to walk down that pathway towards Mereen.
Arya went from training with a stick...to training with a stick, but getting her eyes back. Jon Snow went from Dead to walking out the door. (dead-to-alive is some progress, technically).
Tommen is still a little bitch.
Gendry remains adrift
etc.
The only thing that seems to be "progressing" are the flashbacks...where we get more detail on events mostly known. I like seeing old Stark family stuff....but that guy with the pug face they cast to play Ned? eh....I'm guessing the screams he hears in the tower are his sister giving birth to Jon Snow?
Esbern, er I mean the tree guy is like, "No, not now Dragonborn--er I mean Bran!"
