It's quite the pickle for the writers to get them out of that plausibly. No matter how long Hodor holds the door, if the wights get through Meera/Bran are toast. They're moving slowly and leaving a trail easy to follow even without the mark on Bran. So either Hodor dies in a way which blocks the door completely which will be silly or some deus ex machina saves them. It'll probably be something lame-ass like Bran wakes up and realizes he has power to reverse the mark and use it to shield him or the mark gives him power to control the wights.
Wait. Didn't Jon snow kill the same white walker in the previous season in "Hardhome"? And also Sam killed the same white walker as well. Do they respawn or something? Or is it another white walker and they all look the same?
