That's pretty insightful and very clever of writers if this end up being true. But why would the faceless man protect Arya?Spoiler-ish. Summation of various bits of info possibly evidencing that it was Jacquen as Arya.

Okay, so.. what happened with the Jaqen-alike who appeared to be poisoned to death to satisfy the face? A Faceless Man really died? Or maybe they can appear to die and come back?
They died, but we have no idea who that was. Just another servant of the Many-Faced God.
My main thing is how does he get her face? I was kind of under the impression they only come from dead ppl inside the temple.

That's really doesn't seem like a smart plan. How could Arya possibly predict exactly where she'd get stabbed? How could she expect a blood packet to actually protect her from a knife anyway, and yet still be something The Waif wouldn't pick up on?
Maybe there's a better explanation for how this could work, it just sounds really sloppy.
It's been discussed here. There are many faces in the Hall of Faces of people still alive. Jon Snow, Melisandre, Tyrion, Cersei, and a half dozen or so more.
How this is done is ?????
Yes, she would. The Faceless Men as trained to spot lies, they spent a shitload of time on that. They're trained to study their prey. They're trained to pick their spots. And you honestly believe that the Waif could know Arya was marked for death and would be out there like that acting in a manner which is like a giant flashing "kill me!!" neon sign on her back without thinking "Hmmmm, this seems too easy"? Really?
Holy crap, of all the idiotic theories about what went down, the idea that the real Waif managed to sneak up on the real Arya who was really acting that was is by far the most idiotic.
That teaser video was meant to be metaphorical, not depicting show canon.
Those are great points, I have never even thought of Jacquen as being a single person myself.Always seemed to me might be a faceless man default mode type of disguise, we did see him at one point just run his hand down his face when he left Arya after the escape and changed his appearance on the spot.
Are the faces/disguises something they acquire over time to use once they have put them on once, like storing an appearance on a HDD/brain ?
I would think the advanced assassin types might have several faces at their disposal just to change even walking from one room to another if needed.
As far as protecting Arya, they seem to have seen potential in her to begin with and she is young, she could be a huge game changer in the future for their cause.Especially as they know she is a Stark and might be hedging on that from things along those lines maybe. They might be a little more politically motivated than they let on really.
There are some other shots I suspect are probably at least one faceless man involving Danny I haven't bothered trying to look up, I imagine these guys are distributed all over the Kingdoms.
Well, they are of course, how Arya ran into Jacquen in the first place.
The next episode is titled, "No one." I believe that Arya was somehow being tested and will be shown to pass the test in the next episode and truly become "no one." Perhaps the trauma she underwent being stabbed repeatedly was enough to push her over the edge mentally and finally lose her connection to her "Arya" self. Then perhaps she will be assigned a mission to assassinate a major character in Westeros. Jon Snow, maybe?
I can see Little Finger hiring the Faceless Men to assassinate a potential rival in the north. If he can get Jon out of the way then he'll have a chance to get to Sansa and attempt to manipulate her again.
I have no idea. I honestly put the moment of Jaqen dying/reappearing as the moment that the Faceless Men plot jumped the shark. I really don't care what happens there anymore and care even less about clarification into how things work with them.
I'd rather Arya just be done and away from there so that I can actually care about her story again. Hell, they could reveal that the fake Arya last week was a resurrected Joffrey and fake waif the partially animated head of Ned Stark for some reason and I wouldn't give two shits.
Thanks? No really why are you such a surly dick about GoT? Relax, you will live longer.Holy crap, of all the idiotic theories about what went down, the idea that the real Waif managed to sneak up on the real Arya who was really acting that was is by far the most idiotic.
I just read a fun new theory that Jaqen gave the young actress who wanted the older actress killed Arya's face to hide from the older actress until she could skip town as some sort of refund for not carrying out the killing. The Waif then stabbed the young actress in the guts (as really she was the one the many faced gods wanted to kill all along for her evil intentions) and Arya is still hiding in a shadow with needle somewhere.
That would explain why Arya had money, and why she was flaunting around town (she thought she was hidden from the people who would want to kill her), that is why she wasn't more cautious of the old woman.
I kinda hate the theory deep down because I assume it's better than what the plot will actually be.
