It wasn't intercepted, it was still in harbor with it's sails up. He was making the eyes for Myrcella's corpse, obviously he intended to stay for her burial.
I don't get what the big deal is, they didn't explain how they got there but it's not impossible. Just get on another boat and follow them...

This annoys me. Same with friend zone doing that somersault stab thing. Incredibly lame. Even if the writing has gone to shit you would think they could still do better fight choreography. What the hell happened since the fights from earlier seasons?
He's not dead. This is a time honored plot device. You bring someone back from the dead but they're not really back, they're different. Then the plot uses those differences to push the character into roles that are either inconsistent with their previous personality or generally consistent but an extension of previous characteristics.I'm thinking it's either an offering to the LoL or she's saving up power by turning off whatever glamors she has. I'm pretty convinced currently that they're not done with Snow as his body is still just lying there on a table rather than somewhere else. My guess is that she's going resurrect him via this power/offering thing and away we go.
Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if he was dead and that's the end of his story. Wouldn't be the first time this story did a sudden shift of direction that makes you wonder why we spent so much time building the story line only to have it fall to the side.
Has this show ever had a major character come back from the dead? I can't think of one. I know the book has it, but in the show it's only been the "B" squad like the guy from Brothers without Banners (I think that's their name) and the Mountain. I can't think of any time someone major has returned. They've always just been dead.
Jaime, Trystane and Myrcella were on the boat. When Ellaria gave Myrcella the kiss of death before she boarded, all of the sand snakes were with Ellaria, watching the boat sail away. Two of the SS then got on a presumably faster boat and traveled to KL. Trystane remained on the boat (was likely advised by Jaime to do so) and obviously planned to attend the funeral but needed Jaime to make sure Cersei is ok with that.
