Like I said, the Giant Eagles save them.

Thus far GOT is trying to avoid falling into the same trap Tolkien fell into, they're not using the dragons as a miracle escape every time they write themselves into a corner. I keep expecting it to happen though and would be willing to bet at some point it does.

I seem to recall a dragon swooping down to save its surrounded mother and then fly away...

Mentioned sure. But at that point he was trying to give her a reason not to have Brienne skewer him. Hard to take anything he promises seriously, although it might be good for Baelish to send Yohn Royce and his men up to help Sansa. If it works, fine and if they get beaten that's a guy Baelish wanted to get rid of anyway.

He wasn't trying to do anything at that point. Him telling her that is basically the reason of that meeting for him. He invited Sansa, and after he said hi the first thing he said was about the Knights of the Vale. Only after that Sansa threatened him.

Of course he likely anticipated her response, and made a preemptive move by immediately telling her about the extra army (cavalry?) before she said anything, but you made it sound like he was being reactive.

Does little finger care on some meager level for Sansa Stark more than he does for everyone else (being the kid of the woman he loved) or is she truly just another mark?

Right, right, because Baelish married Sansa off to a sadist and wasn't bright enough to reckon that she might be a bit miffed. Are you serious? He walked in there knowing he had to give her a reason to not kill him and he had to give it to her fast or his head would be on the ground before he had a chance to open his mouth.

Did you even read my second paragraph? That's pretty much exactly what I said. But again you wrote as if he was reacting to the meeting. He wasn't reacting. The meeting was arranged by him. He didn't walk into anything unexpected and then scramble around trying to save his own life. He sent Sansa an invitation, and waited. Fully prepared of what he was going to say and do to get out of there alive.

I'm pretty sure we're in agreement on what's exactly going on in that meeting. I just said that the way you worded it, it seemed like you believe that him telling Sansa about the Vale's army is somewhat of a defensive move. I believe it's exactly the opposite. That's why it's the very first thing he told her.

Guys, Does that mean HODOR have always known Bran since he was a child (after his warg attack)? And he can't just express himself because he's stuck with the word 'Hodor'??

Hodor is older than Bran, but younger than Ned Stark was. He has always known Bran, but it is a decent amount older than him. I can't really find any concrete info on how much older, but it looks to me like when Hodor was 13 or 14, Ned's wife was a similar age. If we put her age around 40 in the story when bran is 13 or 14, then Hodor was around 26 when Bran was born.

These are all guesstimates based on the look of the actors portraying them.

Two questions after finishing what was available, ahem, online.

One, did Jorah and other guy really save Daenerys? Seems like she could have gotten into the Khal's special room easily enough another way. And the two dudes simply barred the door for her. Otherwise, she did everything.

And what exactly is Arya trying to achieve? She has always been motivated by revenge. She's undergoing this training to build the skills needed to destroy her enemies. While the many-faced-guy is trying to teach her to forget her past identity, in order to progress past it. He sees right through her every time she lies about her name. But if she does eventually pass his tests, she won't have a need to go back to Westeros for revenge. Where is her story line going?

My 'guess' is that destiny plays a large role in the GoT universe (as we've seen with Bran/Hodor). I see Arya completing her training and being sent to kill John Snow. She of course does not and instead takes her revenge on someone like Cersei or the Mountain. Rather than disappointed, Jaq'uen is pleased as she played the role he always knew she would. It makes sense because I don't see Jaq'uen being captured in the first place. The initial meeting between him/her was not by chance, but rather what the faceless god wanted... or something like that.

Or Jaq'en is Bran. Or, Bran is EVERYBODY!

I see Arya not completing her training. She is playing the game better than Jaqen thinks she is, she has managed to convince the Faceless Men that she has become nobody while the scene of her watching the play shows that she isn't close to dropping her family allegiance. They've made a big deal about her getting a second chance and made it clear there won't be a third. So somewhere along the line she's going to either refuse a kill or balk at some other task and get kicked out. She'll have learned enough by then to be a dangerous assassin even if not a true Faceless Man. She'll make her way back to Westeros and either go about finishing her revenge list or find Jon and team up with him.

Why would jaquan want her to kill john snow?

He wouldn't, but the faceless men are like a hit squad. Someone pays tribute to the faceless god, and the faceless men kill their target. Arya and Jaqen have that discussion in the last episode when she says how she'll kill the actress.

Here is my take on when "a man" threatened "a girl" that she was going to end up in the hall of faces one way or the other. The threat was either she was going to become of servant of the faceless god or victim of it. As the red woman has told Arya she is going to kill many men. It points to the outcome being that she is going to continue training as a servant of the many faced god.

Add me to those that doubt that is her long term fate though. The real war is going to change everything. If "a man" is right about there only being one god, then the lord of light and many faced god are the same one. so far it seems to be a fan of John and Arya. They have the best chance at positive outcomes, is my guess.

Other best guesses and musings: Bran -paraphrased -"will never walk again but will fly". Will it be as the three eyed raven or a dragon or dragon rider?

Jorah will definitely find the cure for grey scale, and not become a stone man. Someone cured the princess when she was a baby. He will be stuck with however much of it he has when treated though. Again like the princess.

The iron bank will have Tommen killed, the contract will be fulfilled by the faceless men.

we keep seeing visions of the iron throne room in ruins, and it snowing in it. Is it a cautionary vision of what will happen if men do not get their act together and win the war? Or is it the future, and King's Landing is no longer the seat of power? Maybe Dorne will be, due to being so far south?

Not necessarily. Yes, a girl was threatened that a new face would be added to the hall. But a girl has learned much. Could the girl already know how to change her face just from observing? Could a girl refuse to kill an actress and still be able to escape from a man? Could a girl then go back to Westeros with her new talents and kill many men as the red priestess saw even without being an official Faceless Man? Many paths are open in that storyline, a girl could go almost anywhere.

I agree that Jorah will find a cure for the greyscale and get back to Dany before the end.

I don't think Thommen will die. At least not for a while. He's a convenient puppet for Cersei to be the power behind the throne. If he gets whacked who is king? I have no idea who the next person is in the line of succession.

As for visions of the Iron Throne in ruins, that's probably just a "winter is coming" reminder. The humans have to get their shit together and recognize the common enemy.

You know, now that I think about it, it's bugging me because I honestly have no clue. Who is next in line to the throne if Thommen dies? There is nobody left of Robert's lineage other than his bastards. Maybe Gendy comes back from where he's been living on a commune with Benjen, Sandor and Syrio.

Shouldn't Gendry be rowing into King's Landing pretty soon?

There is that whole storyline about Ned Stark's sister that might come into play...

How does that change things? If we subscribe to the R + L = J theory then Jon is a Targaryen, not a Baratheon. There are some other theories regarding Lyanna that are interesting, but they also don't lead to a Baratheon heir to the throne.

Jon would be a Targaryen/Stark, he would be able to unite the north as he is seen as a northerner and the south to make a unified empire.

The Lannister's have no claim and the Baratheon line is dead, the Targaryen's were the previous royal dynasty and Jon would be the rightful heir, unless of course Danny throws a hissy fit.
