Maybe it's the white guy in me, but I don't see the issue with Jian Yang. He is an intelligent young Chinese guy that has a heavy accent. He sounds like some of the Chinese resources my work uses, so I might be used to it. If anything he's doing better than the rest. He did just

I couldn't stand him in The Office either, where he wore out his "welcome" after just one season. There was no reason to keep his character around. I just won't find him funny at all.

Lol, yeah Richard sucks. I don't hate Jared with as much of a passion in Silicon Valley vs Gabe in The Office, but I don't find that actor funny.

Man I was a little crestfallen when some people said they hate Jared. I mean, that guy fscks! But I get it with Richard. His character is pretty hollow and really has morphed into the company instead of him. With Monica there was some sexual tension but she's not in it enough to sustain his character.

This past episode was interesting. Is it really that bad that admitting you are Christian will make you are pariah? I think most in SV are 20 somethings who mostly are atheist however, take any group of 20 year olds from any big American city and I think you will find the same number of believers. I am atheist myself but I've gotten to a point where I don't care what others believe. If it doesn't affect anyone else, then why the hell should it matter to me? Furthermore, if people want to believe in a religion, then they could do a lot worse than Christianity.

Yeah, it's funny how people think that Silicon Valley culture is "open and inclusive", until you move there for a few months tell someone at work that you like shooting guns. Or that you're a NASCAR fan. Suddenly, you become a complete social pariah.
