It is funny, because by all accounts I've seen, he hasn't been active in the area (or field) in like 20+ years. Guess not much has changed. =)

Ya, the guy who makes Dilbert left the scene in the early 90's (maybe even late 80's?) and is still up on things. He says most of his best jokes are from stories fans email him.

Office Space revolved around the Y2K rush, but I think overall is still timeless, you could literally just update the tech and redo it in today's tech setting and the story still works.

Eh, few people would get the Superman reference these days. =)

The some best parts to me of the recent episodes was the "it's great that the best software engineer is a female, um not that it matters..." scenes....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XA6tZWyWLYM

Jared -- "No no, yes of course, we want to hire the best people who happen to be women. Regardless of whether or not they are women. That part is irrelevant."

Carla -- "Are you doing that interviewing thing where you try to rattle somebody to see if they freak out or not?"

I also like the parts where she is playing mindgames with Gilfoyle and Dinesh about salaries and compensation

"Well, my usual way of fucking with them involves gay porn and photoshop"

Then Jared says "Well, then the harrassment policy worked since you didn't do that."

....

I just watched the new episode and one thing that annoys me about this NYtimes article is that it implies that Richard could have gotten what he wanted. I don't think Richard could have gotten the logo put on the video judging by the way AA was so hostile to him. That because of the huge falling out, AA was more amenable to letting the next party do want they requested and that Richard never had chance to begin with.

Is it Windows Vista bad? Is it iPhone 4 bad? Is it Zune bad?

I lost it at Zune.

Then she responds with "it's more like Apple Maps bad."

HAH!

As soon as GoT is over, I'm going to start watching this show. How many episodes were in Season 1? GoT only gets 10 episodes each season.

I find it harder to excuse WTF Tech moments in shows like this, so all I have to say is...

A flippin' delete key... seriously!? Since when does a delete key magically purge both sides (let alone one) in a FTP transfer? I've used FTP servers and even ran them before... unless they're using some bass-ackwards setup, there's no such thing. D:
