So MSI has an affordable HDCP ready card. It supports HDCP over DVI as well as Purevideo HD and is well under $200:

Then I read this article:

Basically, the Xbox360 may never support HDMI or even need to. Plus HDCP encryption may never be used and full resolution over analog will be possible.
It's amazing what a frenzy HDCP caused and yet it may never even get used. I assumed this all along as only one studio ever announced support for it and the current HD-DVD & BD movies are not using it.
Now we just need affordable HD-DVD\Blu-ray PC drives.
