$2.83 - HDMI DVI Cable 28AWG - 6ft w/Ferrite Cores (Gold Plated)

Does anyone know if this DVI to HDMI cable can be used to connect the monitor output from a PC video card (DVI output) to a HD TV if I reduce the setting to match that of the TV (like 30 Hz, 720 X 1280)? TIA

I live literally 15 minutes away from their warehouse in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Think it's possible for me to go there and pick my order up, or do they ship only?

They have a Will-call.. So you can go pickup your items at their store..

It's by 4th street, and Archibald in Rancho Cucamonga.

I would like to add Fire Fold as a great resource for cables with very competitive prices, especially on cables longer than 10 ft...My brother & I both buy our cables from Fire Fold & they ship fast with good shipping rates...

That's not to take anything away from Monoprice, as everything I've heard & read about them has been positive as well...

Also I know Ebay links are bad here, but before you do a checkout at Monoprice check to see if they have it in their ebay store. I saved $8 on 5 cables by buying them through the Monoprice Ebay store...

yes, it will work- and you might find that you don't even need to reduce any settings.

ramamoorthy probably just accidentally deleted the quote end tag ("[/L]") when he tried to quote a snippet of your OP. So it turned the entire post, including his comments into one quote.

Funny thing about it is I paid twice as much for the switch I bought via Amazon.com and it's a Monoprice switch isgust; I wish Monoprice had showed up in my search for the switch.

I've been a steady customer for a little over a year and have nothing but great things to say about Monoprice.

One thing you might not know about the HDMI switchers: The 3x1 and 5x1 switchers are the circuitry. The 4x1 is not. I bought the 3, then the 5, and had problems with each (known issue with my Sony 400 disk player). Several months later, I called to talk to someone there about their hdmi booster, and the man told me about the difference between the switchers. I bought a 4x1 and it has worked perfectly for me ever since.

The point is not that the 4x1 is best, but that if you have issues with the 3 or 5, then the 4 might still work for you.

Am I missing something or is the price NOT $2.83 as the OP linked to? Click on the link and the cheapest price os over $4.00. No biggie, but did the price change recently as no one else pointed this out.

Anyone know how much of a quality difference there is by going with higher AWG cables? I'm looking to hook up my computer (DVI) out to an HDTV - it's a short run - 6' - but I just want to be sure.

i bought all dvi vga & hdmi cables for my place off monoprice when we moved in. I read about digital signaling cables like these before i bought, and learned that you either "get the signal" or you dont with digital. so in terms of awg you want higher, the further distances you run it. but if you notice, monoprice wont sell you anything thats not capable of transmitting a signal through its entire length. for that reason i went with the lowest awg, and they're working fine -just like a 6ft hdmi monstercable from best buy.
