Trying to use the HDMI port on a PNY GeForce 550 Ti video card. Connected the mini HDMI adapter to the HDMI cord which is attached to the TV. However, the display does not show up in the Nvidia settings. Any suggestions?
Have you updated the drivers for the Card yet? Then reboot. This should solve the problem. But if you have done this already, maybe culprit is due to it just not detecting Hardware Changes -just right click on Display in Device Manager>scan for hardware changes.
Also,you should have
disabled your other display driver in Device Manager
and sound audio device in Safe Mode beforehand. Good luck.
*Make sure Power Plug is unplugged from the computer when re-seating GPU Card also. And Power Switch on Surge to Off(just to be safe,if any components are plugged into it running to board).
I personally, unplug the 4-pin from the board also before re-seating it,then back in after.Plug in HDMI into card after re-seating. Plug back in Power Cord into Computer. Surge Switch On now. Power on Comp.
