So I have DirectTV box, PS3, FireTV Stick, and Misc HDMI input going to my receiver. From my receiver's HDMI out I run to a powered splitter (1 in 2 out). The two outs go like so:
1.) To the projector...
2.) To the extra LED tv in the room
Everything on and running the DirectTV / FireStick / Misc HDMI all work 100% .... both displays show the same image and all is well.
The Ps3 on the other hand, does not. Projector just searches for a signal and the LED cycles through resolutions until it stops on one and displays a rainbow shit mess of the PS3 dashboard.
What I know / have verified works / does not work:
* Cables all work
* Splitter works
* Receiver inputs / outputs all work
*Projector and LED work
* DirectTV / FireStick / Misc work with and without splitter in the mix on projector and/or LED
* PS3 works without splitter ( PS3 --> Receiver --> Display),
* PS3 fails with the splitter in the mix (PS3 --> Receiver --> Splitter --> Display)
* I've reset the PS3 and tried every resolution from 480 to 1080p, same problem no matter what resolution is chosen.
I assume its a HDCP handshake issue, but not sure why the PS3 is the only one effected by it.
What the shit?! Any other option besides a receiver with 2+ HDMI outs or something else I can try?
