so straight to the question (even though it doesn't really have anything to do with computer problems i didn't know where else to put it):
I have a lenovo Y500/windows 8 series gaming laptop im using with a seperate asus monitor connected by a VGA cable. When I am playing a game and i minimize by hitting the windows key it instantly goes to my desktop screen but when I change over to a HDMI cable and do the same thing it takes up to 3 seconds to get to my desktop and another 3 to get back into the game ( i see a black screen during those 3 seconds). specifically noticed when i was playing World of Warcraft. I tried another game, Starcraft, and it was almost instant desktop but not quite but took around 1-2 seconds to get into the game (noticeably faster with this game than with WoW). I havent tried any other games because I dont have any other game to try it out on.
Is this normal? Why would the superior cable take longer to load?
