I am a designer and I value your advise. I did not know who to ask so.....
Ok I made contact with a student in the same country as me. He has lot of training material that he wants to sell because he needs the money. I am buying some 3d training material from him. He says all the DVD's are in brand new condition.
He is going to be in my city today. I was thinking to meet him at the train station. I would open all the DVD's confirm they are original and not copies (I have some original ones I know exactly how they look...they are difficult to fake)
My question is-
If I confirm that they are original then do you think looking at the surface to see that there are no scratches will be enought to confirm that they will work?
The guy offered to come to my flat so that I can try each one of them.(actually he preffers to exchange the money at my flat rather than at the train station)
I don't know what to do.I don't like the idea of a stranger coming into my flat.
I personally feel that according to him there is not a single scratch on any of the DVD's so if I can confirm this + that they are the genuine article then it would be good enough to confirm that they will work.
What do you advise? Urgent please as I have to write back to him.
I could meet him in starbucks maybe. What do you suggest?
