Head unit installed at BB.... vehicle hesitant to start...

Hi! Car Audio Guru's you may remember my other thread, well I bought the Pioneer mentioned at the end of the thread... http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2363446

and upon trying to do the installation myself I found out that the harnesses did not swap "1-for-1" and I needed to clip and soder wires, given that I did not have the tools to do this and the money I saved on purchasing the unit I decided to go to bestbuy and have them install it for me.

So I went to bestbuy and had the tech perform the installation, afterwards I noticed that my in-dash lights for RPM,MPH etc.. (the backlit lights) were not working. Headlights turned on but the backlit that normally accompanies them did not illuminate, also the chime when you leave headlights on and open the driver side door no longer worked, so it was pretty easy for me to accidentally leave my headlights on.

I went back to a different bestbuy and their tech discovered that the originally installation guy incorrectly attached two wires together causing a fuse to short once the headlights were turned on, the tech said he could fix this and replace the fuse - he did so. After this visit I left bestbuy with the stereo and the other aspects of the car working normally (or so I thought...)

The next couple of days I have noticed that while starting the car it does properly turn over but there is a little hesitation when I turn the key, could this be related to something with the stereo installation? (I did not notice this happening prior too...) Its been a couple days now and so far everytime I start he vehicle this hesitation is there.... I live in AZ so its not a cold climate, and given that its happened for a few days now I do not think the battery is being drained b/c it would be dead by now?

If you turn off the stereo before you shutoff the car the next time check to see if the hesitation is still there. What kind of car and how old is the battery?

OOps, that might be helpful huh... Its a 2001 Honda Accord Coupe, the battery is somewhere between 5-6 years old as I remember buying it...

The stereo turns itself off when I shut off the vehicle, it does have a bluetooth microphone installed however that I have paired with my phone.

The screen for the radio goes completely blank when the vehicle is shut off and keys pulled from ignition. so I am assuming it gets turned off when the vehicle is off?

I just went out and tried what you mentioned and even with shutting off the radio (aka only clock displays) and restarting the car I get the same hesitation... The audio guy did say that the fuse was blown from his correction to which he had to replace it, could that be what is causing the issue? a separate fuse or something?

Edit: I also checked the battery terminals and they are very tight...

check v6performance.net, they have a generation specific accord forum.. i just traded my 99 accord so I dont remember much about it. but the site if pretty helpful, lots of people have an accord
