I got em from overstock for 17 bucks or so. Not bad but MAKE SURE that the volume is down before you turn on the on button on the headphone adaptor.

You betcha
Didnt want to spend the money for a pop corn popper so instead of throwing away the microwave decided to put it in the down stairs livingroom for when we get together and watch a movie we can pop some corn or dogs or whatever

Net stores, walmart.com, ebuyer.com, overstock.com, amazon.com, etc.com just make sure you are getting the model to suit your application, universal, ipod, or psp.

Don't waste your time driving around...just get them from the Overstock.com link listed earlier (less than $20 shipped).

Just curious, how good are they for classical or jazz? I'm guessing they're great for hip hop and rock but, i guess my question is, how smooth is the bass and how are the mids?

Just ran to J&R to pick up a pair - so far so good! I listened to Beck and Goldfrapp on my subway ride and the bass was the best bass I've heard on ear buds, period (panasonic rhe-70j [$89] and etynomic er6i [$100 something] as reference points). Treble is not lacking but I'll have to listen a bit more to examine the mids.

overall, great buy! Would gladly pay $40+ for these.

I can hear "hiss" when listenning to Judy Colins, Mary Black, Pet Shop Boys and Clanned, it is quite annoying. I don't have problem when listenning to Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers and Eurythmics; the bass is indeed quite good. Not try Classical yet. For two days, I'd say it is more for pop, with mid-low bass; I think it is plenty bass, but not as deep (or tight). Overall, fun, like Koss and Sony (they all colored music, but not stretch too far), ; I don't rate Headbanger higher, but you like clean bass and don't mind "hiss", it is a good choice.

OK, I've had them for one night and here's my opinion:

They are great if you like accentuating the mid and lower range. They definitely have more power than other earsubs...lots more power. They do have a little hiss during quiet parts and between tracks but it's not a big issue for me. They play a good full spectrum of sound and may slightly lack on the high end but not horribly.

I have the Sony earbuds and they are a little crisper but not as full sounding. The Sony's are more comfortable but the Headbangers aren't horrible.

I think it all boils down to taste. If you like loud rock/pop/rap, etc then the Headbangers are for you.

If you like jazz or classial or are an audiophile freak, then you're prolly going to like quality over quantity of sound and may prefer sony's or Koss, etc.

I'm not sure which I'll use more in the long run, but for $20ish, I think they're a bargain.

Don't worry about the hiss it goes away after a few days, and the ringing in your ears may not start for years.

ebuyer held my order for a week and then cancelled it - "currently out of stock". I got a refund but why did they take the order in the first place if the couldn't fill it? Last time for that e-retailer.

Newegg only has the PSP version just so you know. No universal ones at all so make sure you recheck your order.
Same also goes for Chiefvalue, PSP one only.

Thanks for the heads up, funboy. I only looked at the model # - I thought the HBB-100s were the universal. The other PSP and iPod versions I looked at had a different number. Saved me from return hassels. Thanks!

Add me to the believers list. These are incredible!

FYI the Universal Model has the 2.5 mm plug.

My only complaint is the packaging. Took me 20 minutes and a razorblade to extract it from the rigid plastic tomb. I got several scratches from the packing. I hate this type of packaging. I wish manufacturers would stop this over packing. It is a waste of money and more. I am going to start a campaign against shrinkwrap.
