I read all the reviews, and clearly bass heads like them, but most of the "normal" reviewers commented on added hiss, while bass heads said it didn't have any. Kinda makes you wonder if they already can't hear the hiss. This is seriously sad if large numbers of headphone users are going deaf.

Would be kinda nice if somebody did a technical review showing frequency response and output level.

I think the bassheads don't care about the extra low level noise and will gladly sacrafice a higher noise floor to attain awesome bass. Especially since the cost is not that much.

If I don't like them. I have thrown more money away and gotten less.

boo...theres an inline case to house two AA batteries in the universal model. It will be bulky! Also from what I've read they are not too comfortable either.

I have the PSP version and was close to returning them because of the hiss (very noticable when quiet). I did end up keeping them since they are inexpensive and loud. The PSP does not put out enough volume for over the ear headphones when in a noisy environment, so you pretty much have to get ear buds.

For what its worth I have a pair of noise cancelling headphones by Philips that are similarly styled (similar ear bud type and battery operated box) and I have trouble keeping them in my ears, they always fall out, especially when moving.

It's 35 is discountinued and replaced with the 75, but many say that the 35 were better. The Koss 35/75 are the best headphones around $20.

Walmart does not carry them B&M except in one Texas store.

Walmart is about $25 shipped.

Amazon is the about same price but they come from Target.

I have not found any better deals online.

Maybe the total opposite of these, but I like the Sennheiser MX400 that sell for about $10, not for bassheads, but I am guessing two planets away in sound quality better.

Be on the lookout of Koss Porta Pro headphones too. Great headphones if you can get one for under $30.
