I am looking for a good pair of headphones right now, just like I was looking for a new harddrive. I got my harddrives, now I'm out to get a pair of Grado SR-60 or -80 or possibly some Sennheiser stuff for a really good price.
I've never heard of Nady Systems Inc, nobody I asked had heard about them either. Any clues? Can one go wrong for $20?
so i saw some senns on ubid the other day, i think HD535s for $48.
pretty good deal if you ask me. outpost was sellin em for $79. and
now you have to pay serious shipping there too, so actually almost
$90. they retail for $169.
grados are nice too, but they squeeze my poor little head too much.
senns are much more comfortable, but the trick with them is that
you MUST buy the right model #, just cause it's a 500 series don't
mean squat as i have learned. the 535s however are pretty good, esp
for the price.
I searched all the stereo sites and can't find anything on Nady. Are these good headphones or am I just wasting my money? Here's some deals I found on a few wireless headphones.
Has anyone tried any of these headphones? I'm looking for a good set of wireless headphones and a decent set or corded ones too. PM me or e-mail me at willy32@techemail.com.
For <$100, Sennheiser HD-495's are awesome. A little grainier than the 580's and 600's, but for $90 street, you can't complain. Only 32-ohm impendance, too, so your sound card and CD player don't strain too much trying to drive them (HD-580's and 600's are 300 ohm, you need a really nice headphone amp to drive them to their full potential)
About 2 years ago, I bought a pair of refurbished Sennheiser HD535's from Spidergear. No regrets. They've worked flawlessly since purchase and only cost me about $90, if I can remember correctly. Spidergear also has new headphones, lots of Senn's.
Edit: Just checked and they have the HD535's new in the box for $89 now.
Just for reference, Nady makes (or at least used to make) Top of the line wireless music equipment, like wireless transmitters/receivers for guitars, microphones, etc. I used a few models, and had no problems at all with the transmit/receive functions. As to what quality the speakers in the headphones are, that's anyone's guess, I spose..........
yeah, nady is really famous for their UHF and VHF band wireless microphone and guitar stuff. i actually have (and have used) one of their wireless guitar systems. they seem to be branching out into the inexpensive microphone market (which i would never buy) and the home recording market in general. i think i would stay away from the nady headphones
I just got a pair of Sennheiser 495's off of the sennheiser refurbished page for $65 ( Link ), but the funny thing is, they appear to be new. Came in the retail package that appeared to be unopened. Really nice for gaming.
My Sennheiser HD200's broke, and was covered by the warranty. They sent me a "new" pair back, but I think it was a refurb. But they sure looked new to me.
I picked up a combo pack that included the HD580's and a DSP Pro (nifty little device) for $199.
The DSP Pro is a dolby decoder that has dual headphone outputs with individual volume controls. Makes watching movies in an apartment at night heaven! If you can get a good deal on one, I'd recommend it. Always nice to have dual headphone jacks
Buying from the Sennheiser store also means zero shipping and, likely, zero sales tax.
