it's a problem with plastic headlights (possibly oxidation on the top of the headlight). all you need is plastic polish to clear that up.

The problem is on the INSIDE of the headlight. How do I polish the inside?

Why not first try Meguiar's PlastX to remove the oxidation from the headlights? You can pick it up from most automotive stores that carry the Meguiar's line of products.

Open up the headlight.

Instructions should be as easy as Googling "headlight cleaning (your make of car here)"

I second the recommendation for Meguiars PlastX. Just polish with this stuff and it will make a huge difference.

How do you know its on the inside? Im pretty sure it's on the outside, seems like the kit you linked is for the outside too.

Go to your local store and try the plastic polish first....

just buy a new headlight. I did when my headlight began yellowing.

Also I have PlastX and wasn't impressed with it. Maybe Plexus would be better... though more expensive.

Mine were real bad so I had to go a little more extreme then just polish. Had to start off with 600 grit sandpaper and work my way up to 2000 grit. Then I used blue eagle(I think) plastic polish and a drill mounted polishing pad cause my arms were already tired as hell from all the sanding .

Seems like BS to me
Thread is a couple weeks old, but I also would like to know if anyone's used this. It doesn't come with very much in each bottle.
I own Nissans, so I don't have this problem, but my parents won't own anything but American cars, so all 3 of their cars have this problem. I tried Meguiar's PlastX, took too much elbow grease, and only got rid of maybe half of the fog (yes, all is on the outside), which probably came back quickly.

Blue Coral makes a good plastic polish that helps clear yellow lenses - you can get it at Pep Boys

Ive seen some so bad I had to sand them down...then polish em back up the shine...

I reccomend sanding...it works better than any plastic polish alone...just make sure you have a buffer at greater than 5200RPM's

That won't burn the plastic?

What grade sandpapers did you use? Did you attach them to a drill or polisher or do it by hand?
