I know very little about audio, PC or otherwise. I am considering using headphones as a primary listening device. Generally speaking, for things like Dolby Prologic and Dolby Digital to work, do both my sound card and output have to support these standards. Will headphones support Dolby Prologic? Dolby Digital? Is there such thing as speakers "supporting" these standards, or is it just the sound card/receiver?

To me, it seems that the Dolby Pro Logic capability of the provided DSP could be replaced by the DSP on a soundblater live card. Either way, it seems that the headphones DO support Dolby Pro Logic. Also, look at:

Click on the DSP 360. This product almost seems to imply that the DSP will make ANY headphones use Dolby Pro Logic.
